  • Fifth Regional Symposium on Electrochemistry – South East Europe

The Association of South-East European Electrochemists (ASEE) is a unique regional voluntary framework bringing together different structures (professional organizations and societies, research institutes, universities, laboratories, companies) involved in fundamental and applied electrochemistry and its applications in different fields. Their common goal is to support the regional partnership in R&D and innovation and technological development and increase its efficiency on both regional and international level. The electrochemical science and technology is relatively young scientific field which boosted in the middle of the last century. However, it emerged rapidly and spread widely in important technological fields. This accelerated development increased the need of a new, more effective regional platform for permanent scientific communication, education and collaboration.

ASEE operates via its web site which ensures opportunities for efficient communication and knowledge dissemination, for collaboration and networking beyond the geographical borders of the region.

Every 2 years ASEE organizes the Regional Symposium on Electrochemistry – South East Europe, hosted by one of the countries in the region and gathering scientists from all over the world.

ASEE is a result of the traditionally strong and world recognized electrochemical science in the region, which has been developing in the atmosphere of long-term cooperation between the scientists from the region, most of them belonging to the “eastern countries”. The spirit of this ambiance, the existing tradition and the new European horizons of the 21st century were the driving force for the establishment of the Regional Conference on Electrochemistry – South-East Europe.

Starting with a core of 10 countries in 2008, its 5th edition in 2015 united the electrochemical communities of 17 countries from the Region. Their shared and mature vision for the establishment of a permanent regional structure brought to the establishment of the Association of South-East European Electrochemists.

  • CONTRIBUTE to the advancement of the fundamental and applied research in the field of electrochemistry
  • ENHANCE the regional scientific communication and cooperation in electrochemistry
  • HELP the bridging of the regional electrochemical science and industry
  • ACCELERATE regional with international networking in the broad area of electrochemistry
  • SUPPORT, FACILITATE and RATIONALIZE the dissemination and exploitation of knowledge and innovations in electrochemistry and its applications
  • ORGANIZE traditional meetings in the field of electrochemical research, technologies and innovations

The Scientific Committee of the corresponding Regional Symposium is managing the activities of the ASEE.

Tentative Internal Operating Principles
Of the Association of South-East European Electrochemists (ASEE)

The Association of South-East European Electrochemists (ASEE) was established on the June 10, 2015 by a Common Decision of the Scientific Committee (SC) of the 5th Regional Symposium on Electrochemistry – South-East Europe (RSE-SEE5), held in Pravets, Bulgaria.

Structure

ASEE adopts the governing and management structure of the Regional Symposium on Electrochemistry – South-East Europe as follows:
